this blog is about my life, my experience of the world; the world with all its confusions and contradictions. it is about holding those contradictions in tension: the tension between living in an outdated paradigm and the ushering-in of a new one; the tension of trying to be whole in a broken world; the tension between depth and surface, light and dark, love and hate, softness and strength, anger and peace, innocence and responsibility, resistance and acceptance, rootedness and flexibility, groundness and flight. it is about holding these tensions inside myself, as a member of the community of life on Earth. it is about discovering the nature of myself and the world, and the nature of my place and role in it.
